Cecil, the Dancing Fool

Medium: Steel Bar and Farm Machinery
Dimensions: 6.5' h x 3' w x 2' d (approx)
Created: 1999

Cecil is an attempt to make a stick figure that is lively.  Even though many think that found art is overrated, some pieces fit so well that they can't be ignored.  His feet are lasts used for shoe repair -- this is where the sculpture started.  He has old machinery sprockets for his head, a steel pasture post for his backbone, and soil aerator spikes for his fingers.
