Sometimes an old saying will trigger one's desire to do a sculpture.
The princess and her horse look proud -- perhaps even haughty and snooty. There seems to be a similarity between the horse's tail and the princess's hair. Why not? The resemblance is obviously the origin of the term "pony tail."
